Dear Members,
Halloween Regatta has come and went and what an amazing event it was! First, thank you to Vice Commodore Kim Bagnoni for her leadership in organizing our largest event of the year. The pandemic has caused many clubs to postpone or cancel their events. I am so proud that ASC was able to continue our tradition in a safe and fun way. It was wonderful to see so many sailors on the lake enjoying well-organized and highly competitive racing. Furthermore, how amazing is it to see 50+ junior sailors on the water enjoying racing! The future is bright for our club and our sport.
This amazing event and all events at our club are made possible because of the members who give their time and energy to of our volunteers. The Halloween Regatta is a total club effort that continues to amaze and impress our out-of-town guests. Thank you to all of our members who gave their time to make this event happen!
October 24th is our Annual Meeting and Dinner. This year it will look a little different but I know it will be an amazing event. Please go to www.augustasailingclub.com for more information.
Finally, at our October board meeting, the board approved the proposed dues and fees increase that was shared in August. These increases will begin in January 2021. Please see the attachment for more information.
