Juniors,
This Wednesday, August 19th will be our last Wednesday night race. If you are planning on sailing, please be there around 5pm to start rigging. Boats are first come-first serve. Races will begin at 6pm. We encourage families to bring dinner and hang out afterwards.
Sunday practices will begin August 30th. All members that have attended camp or have previous experience sailing, and have an interest in racing are encouraged to attend. The plan is to continue Sunday practices through October. Please be rigged and on the water by 2pm. For those new to racing, we will meet in the classroom at 1:30pm, August 30th to review racing rules and to discuss the upcoming Labor Day Regatta. Make sure your boat is rigged and ready to go before coming to the meeting.
I encourage all Juniors to participate in our upcoming Labor Day Regatta, September 5-6. We have several active juniors and boats are limited. If you would like to use a club boat, you will need to reserve one ASAP by clicking on the boat charter link. Make sure to also register for the regatta online. Just go to www.augustsailingclub.com, login, and click on the event on the calendar. There you can register for the regatta and purchase meals for Saturday night's pig roast.
