Long Term Camper Sites

Kim Bagnoni | Published on 1/3/2026
First a short bit of history… At the September 2024 Board meeting, a camper Proposal was passed. That proposal included the creation of a new camper agreement with a one-year term. But before the plan could begin to be implemented, we had a hurricane. Remember that?

Since then, as part of the ongoing repair and restoration of our club, a group was charged with looking at the September layout plan and making recommendations based on the much changed physical conditions on the ground. That group has continued their work and those recommendations have been adopted by the Board.

An important part of the September plan is to open the new long term (one year) camper sites to the membership. In accordance with the September 2024 plan, we are happy to let you know that starting 1/19/26, a form will be available on the club website to enter your name on the Long Term Camper Wait List. This wait list is open to Active members, who store a boat at the club, are financially current, and do not occupy another spot on the list. There is no fee to submit a request for this list.

Names will be collected from the forms submitted for a two week period between 1/19/26 and 2/1/26 by the East Point Mayor (as per the September 24 plan). On 2/2/26, the Commodore and the East Point Mayor will hold a random drawing to determine list precedence. After 2/2/26, other qualified members can submit a wait list request by submitting the online form to be added to the bottom of the list.

Full details of the September 2024 plan are in the House and Ground Rules, Section 23. The original camper proposal can be viewed in the Board Meeting Minutes for September 2024.
