Memorial Day Weekend Full Moon Cruise We’ll start the cruising season off with a three-night moveable cruise. Starting on Friday night, May 28th we’ll raft up in a different cove each night.

Swimming fishing and sailing along with the inevitable lying and boat maintenance will definitely happen.

Some folks are reluctant to come alongside for fear of damaging other boats. Just approach slowly and we’ll have enough seasoned folks to guide you safely in. If you’ve never done this before, here’s a few things to remember. Bring dock lines (never old jib sheets or halyards) and fenders to protect the other boats. Use an old tee-shirt to stop your fenders from squeaking all night long. A VHF marine radio is needed to contact us on approach. Cell phones can be sketchy, depending on your carrier. Navigation lights if you plan to sail at night. Food, drinks and bedding. We normally tie the boats together in size order, so don’t be insulted if we ask you to hold off on your approach. We choose the anchorage for the night based on wind and weather and swinging room for the number of boats expected. Don’t be alarmed if you “only” have 10 feet under your keel. That’s plenty.

To find us, call “Full Moon Cruise, Full Moon Cruise, Full Moon Cruise, this is (your vessel name, your vessel name)” on channel 16. Be patient. When we reply we’ll switch you to channel 68 and carry on our conversation. For more information contact Johnny or Micky Poole, or Tony Coy and Brenda Renick. We’re in the ASC Directory. Please come out for whatever time you choose even if you can’t stay overnight.
