Dear Participants, Volunteers and Sailing Community,

We regret to inform you that the Halloween Regatta scheduled for October 11-13 has been cancelled. Our sailing club has suffered significant damage due to Hurricane Helene, and it is no longer safe or feasible to hold the event as planned.  Our club has lost water and electricity that may take weeks to restore.  Our club grounds are covered with fallen and unstable trees.  Several of our members lost personal property that was kept at the club and some also have storm damage to contend with at home.

We are thankful that, to the best of our knowledge, our members are all safe including the few who were at the club when the destructive winds hit. The safety and well-being of our participants, volunteers, and club members is our highest priority.  It will take much time for our club to recover. 

For those who have already registered, we will be processing refunds over the next few weeks. Alternatively, if you want to support our club in our recovery efforts by donating your registration fees, we would be extremely grateful.  Finally, if you would like to transfer your fee to next year, let us know and we will hold it for 2025.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me personally at (706) 799-0099.
