Special Information:

At the end of each race day at approximately 5:30PM we will have a community dinner. Dinner will be paid for by contribution (a suggested amount will be posted and may vary according to the meal being served). We expect the amount to be between $5.00 and $10.00 per person.

Please help us plan for food by letting Cliff or Ben by Friday of each race week how many people in your group will be staying for dinner.

Classes:
This is a PHRF regatta by invitation of the Augusta Sailing Club. Fleets will be divided into Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker. The 2008 Mid Winter Cup is a separate event and will be scored as a two (2) day regatta. The Winter series includes all regular races and the Sunday Mid Winter Cup results.. Trophies will be awarded in each fleet. Scoring will be based on corrected times. Corrected times will be calculated with the “Time-on-Time” method using PHRF ratings

Fees:

Entry fee for the fall series is $40 per boat and includes the 2008 Mid Winter Cup. Entry fee for the 2008 Mid Winter Cup only is $25.

Registration:
Registration will be allowed at any time up until the start of a race on any race day. A completed registration form and entry fee shall be submitted as part of the registration.

Rules:
The regatta is governed by the RACING RULES OF SAILING, USSA prescriptions of sailing, applicable class rules, Augusta Sailing Club PHRF rules and sailing instructions (available at registration). Racing on three (3) separate days will constitute a regatta for the Winter Series. One race will constitute a regatta for the Mid Winter Cup. Courses will be described in the Sailing Instructions; races will use a combination of lake buoys and club marks.

Schedule:

A Skippers Meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on the first Race day. That meeting will be used to decide such items as Scoring Practices, and any other details that arise. Continential Breakfast will be set out on the first Race day.
