Notice of Race

 

2007 C Scow National Championship Regatta

June 14, 15, 16 17, 2007

 

Venue:                 Augusta Sailing Club,

                                    Lake Strom Thurmond

                                    Appling, Georgia

 

Rules:                  The races will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing

                                    Rules of Sailing (RRS).  Exceptions to the RRS are to be listed on 4/1/07. 

 

Eligibility:           The regatta is open to Class C Scows.  Helms-persons shall be Regular Members of  the NCSSA.

Eligible yachts may be entered by completing registration with the Association.

 

Advertising:        The regatta is designated as a Category A event in accordance with the ISAF Regulation 20.

 

Registration:       The entry fee is $75 until May 16, 2007. 

                                    The entry fee is $100 from May 17 to June 10th

                                    The entry fee is $125 from June 11th until the close of registration.

                                    For skippers under the age of 25 years as of June 15, 2007  Registration Fee $50.

(If three or more races have been sailed, no warning signal after 1200 hrs.

Scoring:     The low point scoring system, RRS A4, shall apply.

Six races are scheduled, of which three must be completed to constitute a series.

A boats worse score will be discarded if all six races are completed. This changes RRS A2. 

 

Lodging:    Consult augustasailingclub.com for lodging suggestions.

 

Prizes:                 NCSSA perpetual trophies will be awarded as per the class requirements.

                                    Series prizes will be awarded to the skipper and two crew finishing 1 through 10

                                    Master, Grand Master, and Junior division winners will receive prizes.
